Energy healing is safe and non-invasive. Most people experience a sense of relaxation and well-being during and after sessions. There are typically no negative side effects. We do ask clients to prepare for something called a Spiritual Detox. This is the cleansing of your energy.
To further clarify, let's draw a parallel to a dietary detox: When you shift from an unhealthy diet to a nourishing one, your body begins to eliminate accumulated toxins from the previous diet and replaces them with the goodness of your new dietary choices. During this dietary detox, you may not feel your best, and in fact, you might feel quite unwell. However, you understand that this discomfort will pass, and you'll emerge healthier for it.
Similarly, the body undergoes an energetic detox during Reiki, whether it's a minor or major spiritual detox. This cleansing process takes place on some level, impacting individuals differently. Some may experience emotional responses like crying, laughter, or profound peace without an apparent reason. Others might not have emotional reactions but could feel exceptionally fatigued or energised, or they may even catch a cold.
Moreover, the cleansing process can occur during or after an attunement and may continue for several days following the session. Just like the dietary detox, it's essential to remember that these experiences happen for your greater well-being.
It is advised to reduce or eliminate where possible: caffeine, alcohol, smoking, highly sugared and fried foods and meat (especially red meat); for 3 days after your session.

Journal if you feel a lot of emotions or ideas have come to the surface. This may be a great time to sort through some complex thoughts.
Meditate/allow yourself some quiet time for at least 5 minutes each day.
Get adequate rest.
Avoid strenuous exercise.
Refrain from bathing or showering for 12 hours after a session. Within the following 24 hours, if feasible, consider a salt bath. This not only aids in the energetic cleansing of your body but also facilitates the removal of toxins from your skin. Additionally, it provides a nurturing and revitalising experience. If a bathtub isn't accessible, you can achieve a similar effect by applying sea salt to your body during a shower.

In most cases, yes!
Energy healing can be a beneficial practice for expectant mothers.
However it is important that you are fully comfortable and open to the practice.
You should be aware of and happy with the possibility of a ‘Spiritual Detox’.
You must realise that while the healing may not be intended to your unborn child, some of the healing may extend to the child because it is still part of your energy field.
If the pregnancy is complicated or there are medical conditions, it is important to share these with the practitioner so that the right intentions can be set and it can provide guidance on whether more energetic energy or softer, more gentle energy is required during the session.
I must ensure that you have already seen a doctor and are under professional medical supervision for your pregnancy and that you are aware that these sessions are not a replacement for it.
I would not recommend booking a session if you are not completely open and trustful of the energy healing process, or if you are in a lot of pain or have major complications. In these cases it may be more beneficial to rest and meditate yourself.

Your session will take place in a dedicated garden therapy room, which provides a serene and calming atmosphere. The environment is designed to foster relaxation and healing.
Before the session begins, you'll have the opportunity to discuss your intentions, concerns, and any specific areas you'd like to focus on during the session. This dialogue ensures that the session is personalised to your needs.
However, you may not want to talk about the reason for needing Energy Healing, which is absolutely fine. Know that I will be guiding healing energy to you, but the Universal Life Force Energy will heal what is most necessary despite your wishes.
You'll be comfortably lying down, fully clothed, on a treatment table. If you have any mobility or comfort concerns, those will be addressed.
I will be silent throughout the session, unless you have a direct question or discomfort for any reason.
In most cases, energy healing sessions are "hands-off," meaning I will not physically touch you. The energy is channeled to you from a slight distance. However, if a "hands-on" method is ever required, it will only be used with your full consent after a discussion.
I will begin channeling Universal Life Force Energy to you, working with your energy field and chakras. Energy will flow where it's most needed, helping to balance and harmonise your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Sound healing and crystal healing techniques will also be incorporated where appropriate.
Music, aromatherapy, incense and sage may also be utilised throughout the session.
During the session, you may experience various sensations, such as warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation. Some people may even have emotional releases. These sensations are a sign that the energy is working.
After the session, there will be time for discussion if required. A lot of people prefer to reflect on the feelings and sensations that arose in silence as it can be a very personal and profound experience. I will offer you water and herbal tea and you are welcome to relax and readjust before you leave.
Remember that each energy healing session is a highly individualised experience, and the specific details may vary. The focus is always on your well-being and creating a space for healing and self-discovery.

Falling asleep during an energy healing session is more common than you might think, and it's perfectly okay.
If you fall asleep, it doesn't affect the effectiveness of the session. In fact, it can be quite beneficial. When you're asleep, your body and mind are in a highly receptive state, allowing the energy to work on a deeper level.
Your comfort is a top priority. Whether you're awake or asleep, the energy healing process continues. I will continue channeling healing energy, and it will be just as effective.
You'll naturally awaken when the session ends, or I will gently wake you.

The healing energy is guided by intention. When you begin the session, you and the practitioner set an intention for your healing. Whether you're conscious or asleep, the energy will flow according to that intention.

Your comfort is important during an energy healing session. Feel free to dress in a way that makes you feel most comfortable, so you can fully embrace the experience.
I recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing. Opt for items you feel relaxed in, such as yoga pants, a T-shirt, or loose-fitting attire. Layers are a good choice because they allow you to adjust your comfort level as needed.
During the session, you will remain fully clothed. You don't need to disrobe for energy healing. Wearing comfortable clothes will ensure that you can relax and fully enjoy the session.
It is preferable that you take your shoes off - however if you are uncomfortable to do so, you may leave them on.
I will also ask you to remove jewellery where possible.
We want you to be as comfortable as possible. A blanket will be provided during the session, so you can stay warm and cosy. You're encouraged to adjust the blanket to your liking.
